Forum Institute
Social research, consulting, and education under one roof. Forum Institute for Social Research produces evidence-based research in Türkiye on democracy, inequality, labour, cities, youth, migration, and poverty—and translates this knowledge into practice through consulting, training, and partnerships.
Independent, evidence-based, and critical: Forum Institute aims to strengthen public debate through data and grounded field insight.
We read Türkiye’s social landscape through data.
We conduct field research, policy analysis, and training programmes on youth, labour, poverty, urbanisation, migration, and political participation.
The Three Pillars of Forum Institute
Research, consulting, and the academy: three dimensions that reinforce each other under one roof.
Forum Research
We connect field evidence with theoretical frameworks to understand social change, combining quantitative (surveys, administrative data, measurement) and qualitative (in-depth interviews, focus groups, participant observation) methods as required by the research question. We support findings with public-facing publications and actionable policy options.
Forum Consulting
We provide research-based consulting for NGOs, unions, professional chambers, local authorities, and the private sector—supporting policy and strategy processes end to end.
Forum Academy
We run training programmes, workshops, and online talks in research methods, data analysis, policy analysis, and thematic areas such as gender, youth, and urban studies.
Our Focus Areas
Forum Institute’s research, consulting, and training activities are organised around interconnected thematic areas.
